Our friends at RoadandTrack were doing a photo shoot
several months ago on the Dodge Magnum RT, which is a hot
rodded sports wagon with a HEMI.
Now Tom Bryant,
Editor-in-Chief, knows how to frame a shot . . . and Guy Spangenberg
knows a thing or two about photography.
So we got the invite and graciously supplied the roadsters.
Don Prieto drove Steve Kelly's HEMI-powered 1929 roadster to
the party, which got to match power with the Magnum.
Other members in attendance included: Ralph Suchy ('32
Highboy), Mike Greene ('29 Highboy), Dick Roseberry ('29
Highboy), Jon Kennedy ('32 Highboy and '34 3W Coupe) and Frank
Currie with his 1932 Highboy Roadster.
Frank's killer
rod is powered with a 429 CU Ford Shotgun engine and has gone
over 200 MPH at Bonneville, making it the world's fastest
street-driven roadster.
